Why TipaTech Was Created
For years, homeowners and businesses have had to choose between imperfect water treatment solutions. Some systems waste water. Some rely on salt. Some require electricity. Most water systems begin with technology: the filter, the media, the cartridge, or the performance claim. TipaTech began differently-with a deeper question: Why does water matter so much in how people live, cook, shower, clean, and care for their homes?
The questions that shaped the science
Why does water matter so much? Why does it touch nearly every part of daily life - from drinking and cooking to showering, cleaning, plumbing, and appliances? How can water treatment support better quality without ignoring the minerals water naturally carries? These questions led TipaTech beyond conventional filtration. They pushed the company to rethink what water treatment can be - from the first drop entering the home to the final glass of drinking water.

TipaTech’s development vision focuses on a demanding balance: reducing selected unwanted substances, supporting mineral-aware water quality, and helping maintain water characteristics such as lower ORP and meaningful TDS levels, depending on source water, system configuration, and real-world conditions. A More Balanced Alternative to Traditional Water Treatment
TipaTech was developed to challenge the old model of aggressive water treatment. Reverse osmosis can be useful in certain water conditions, but many RO systems reduce minerals aggressively and create wastewater. Salt-based softeners can help address hardness, but they rely on salt, maintenance, and salty backwash. Conventional ionizers and hydrogen-rich water systems often depend on electricity, metallic electrodes, or aggressive pH manipulation.
TipaTech’s approach is different: reduce selected unwanted substances, help manage scale, support mineral balance, address undissolved gases, and offer water treatment designed to work without salt, without electricity during normal use, and without intentional wastewater during regular filtration.

Behind TipaTech stands Baruch Zisser, the company’s founder, Senior Scientific Advisor, and inventor of TipaTech’s filtration systems. With more than five decades of experience in water technology, Baruch has focused on developing advanced systems designed to reduce selected unwanted substances while respecting the natural value of water and the desirable minerals it may contain.
As a senior scientist in the Technion INNOVATEC program, Baruch’s scientific vision helped shape TipaTech’s approach: advanced water treatment with a mineral-aware design.

TipaTech systems are tested and certified by IAPMO R&T for NSF/ANSI 42, 61, and 372, for specific models and configurations. Certification and performance claims apply only to the product, configuration, and testing scope listed by the relevant certification body.
